I am about to draw all the objects for 9D3. Objects can range from mundane stuff like flowers, stones, barrels, crates, to more imaginative things such as spike traps and boulders! I feel like I need help with this because sometimes I find it difficult to think outside the box. I have a long comprehensive list of objects to draw already but I won't post them as I have a few secret ideas in there I want to keep spoiler free I would really like to hear your ideas!

Hiya valorware, I was one of the beta testers for 9D2 You named the healing magic cheat after my facebook name Anyway, One thing I noticed in the past 9th Dawn games is the lack of vehicles. I don't recall seeing any carts or stage coaches or any "modern" modes of transportation. Maybe you can add those in?

Id like to see diferent types of trees. With this u cant made forest more cool I think. Alos maybe some secret cache - hiding stash(mini dungeon) they can be just disguised, and looks like just big rock or just like grass. Maybe make houses with different material: wood house, stone house, clay house, red or black color stone. Maybe even some wild village with tents. A bunch of hay in the fields. Some basic weapon like woodman axe and fork.

What about, stone wall with stone stairs, like defensive walls. more critters (small animals to populate the environment). different light sources, different caves biomes and small imeersive object( ice cave has icicle, slippery floor, frozen funtains, frozen dead adventurers. lava caves has mineral veins, lava waterfall, lava cauldrons. natual caves has more tipe of nests for critters, natural water sources, small pools with. vegetation/critters. Cristal Caves has well cristals statue made of cristal, cristal bridge etc)
single object - wood fence for horses and water for horses - agricultural tools close to farms - small tombs here and there (made of just dirt or stone) - ruins ( small ruins with some enemies ) - more pathway in woods (road made of dirt), it whould be nice to see some road inside woods that lead to small pools or point of interest - some arena area close to cities where citizen or warriors can fight for glory /money - in towns theres should be stone road and pathway to mark more used road and less used - dungeons should have more broken object on the ground, like vases, furnitures, doors smashed down, hole in wall, crumbled walls and so on. - weapons rack and armor rack, barrel of arrows, close to area area or barracks - fertile terrain with different stage of grown crops/vegetable
have nice day

I'll definitely make some different types or trees this time aswell

Magic blue candles, skulls on desks for mages/magic shops, bonsai trees, potted flowers by windows, wine rack, animal heads on walls, vine trellis, stacks of books, animal totems, goblets, bird bath, pile of random human things for places controlled by goblins

What about some reflective stuff on water? I mean to say that the Water in 9D / 9D2 felt kinda grey/whitish. If it's possible to make some reflective sky at day time or stars/moon at night time it would be nice actually. They don't need to be dynamic, just some static images.

It has been a while since I played.
1: my most out of the box idea: Destruction of environment. I don't want to solve a puzzle! I want to BLOW A HOLE IN THE WALL. But I understand if that's not cool.
2: I would like to see an original Ultima Online physical environment in the game. i mean such as Bears/Wolves hunting Sheep/Deer. Animals being animals. That sort of thing. 2B: The idea that different Fairy species will give you different stuff if you kill only specific animal types. Kill 0 Sheep, get a Fire Proof jacket, kill 100 sheep/loot 0 sheep corpses, kill 0 wolves, get Sheep Skin of +10 Accuracy. Ya dig? Kill 0 Bears, and 100 Deer, get Antlers of Piercing +10, or kill 100 Bears, 0 Deer, get Protector of Nature Bear Hat of +10 Blunt Damage Reduction. Dig dig?
3: Also, exploding NEUTRAL plants. Like... "The Swamp Gas Plant". or whatever. So i can kite animals/enemies into a place and let them die without my help.
4: I would also like to see a pause/study function; wherein I can see a creatures Stats and Health, and know what I need to do to kill it.
and as for items and things...
1: Carts/Horses/Mobility: I hope to see the people of this culture actually travelling between their cities. the "Safe routes", where I can meet "Peddlers". Also, the ability to ride those carts (quick travel), and ride the horses (fast travel).
2: Mining/Crafting (I can understand if this makes your life horrible)... Pick Ax + bored = Iron Shield, But also, if every item has a (items invested/What it is made of) and you can "Find" those things. And make them...
3: Shrines/Gargoyles/people..... I would like more backstory to the people.
4: Monkeys seriously. Tropical environment and you don't have bananas, sugar, and monkeys? Where are the coconuts man?
5: Fooooooooood. findable/eatable/cookable.
I've said too much.
Am I even in the right vein with your question?

So many of the above ideas are great!
I play the game for the puzzles, characters, interwoven story; and I quite love archery. (Having a British roommate was difficult until we realized that if she quite liked something, that meant a little. If I quite liked it, that meant a lot. So, lol, I mean I like archery a lot. Adore it! And she really didn't enjoy hamburgers. Quite!)
Anuway...I don't appreciate as much the tedium of repeatedly crisscrossing the land while leveling up. Methods for faster travel, as above, would be great. Cart, yes. Gypsy caravan, yes. Wild West covered wagon, no.
Huge monsters, like in a boss fight, should have more than a few dozen more points than their surrounding armies. A mechanism to respawn bosses for fighting (like that gladiatorial arena mentioned above) might be really cool.
If riding animals/vehicles is an option, great. Donkey or camel seems more appropriate till a higher level reached, then perhaps horse, etc? I've never seen anyone ask about flying on animals. Is that perspective too difficult? Hitching a ride on a dragon or one of those random eagles would be cool. (Maybe just a shadow to indicate height?)
A propos of nothing, except thinking of quest items: More little quests that drive the character to side areas... Otherwise, while they're as interesting as the other regions, it's can sometimes feel like you're just going through the motions with little to motivate you other than getting all those pesky shadow boxes to disappear off the map so you're sure you didn't miss a treasure box. ;-)
Please consider hiring an editor/copywriter (I'd totally help, lol) to flesh out the dialog. It's a bit inconsistent & stilted, with respect. The humor works; add more! The odd in situ characters are cute; give them all a story!
For the love of God, man, find a way for us to create, buy, or steal a map of the caves!!! A girl's gotta work, and sometimes work requires all your short-term memory, you know? Revisiting every single corner of every cave level if I've forgotten where one switch is has caused me to abandon the game for weeks at a time out of frustration. Even if I'm loving it. Ain't nobody got time for that stress.
Therefore anything to do with cave maps... Or create specific, lasting cave wayfinders. A switch or two to change the floor, color, or walls of cave areas you've conquered. Special Hansel & Gretel white stones that could be dropped at intervals to mark the way home, you know? You could go crazy creating such a system. :-)
Ropes. How could a fantasy medievalist not ever use any rope? Don't make us all be Samwise, constantly fretting about forgetting our rope. ;-)
If there's another snowy terrain, & I can't pelt a yeti with a snowball, I'm gonna be so let down. :-D
The special snow boots from 9D1 were cool; more region-specific attire?
Everyone keeps talking about cheats, but I've never seen any. Are they only on multi-player? Making those in viewable from within the game, like on a restaurant's menu?
Medieval fantasies often have healers, faith healers (like that underground cult you created), shaman... The potions stores are similar, but ordering a compounded medicine (like Rena's tea) might be interesting. Seeing all they'd store...like Cadfael.
List of Random Ideas:
Palm reading. Quiver for arrows. Stocks, gallows, prisons. Workshops for blacksmithing.
Schools...ergo, children. Not having children is creepy. ;-) So all the villagers just, what, spawn?
Shrines. More wells. Boats on the water. Men fishing, sailing, etc.
Theater with stage, actors. No, or at least none I can think of, developed society ever lacked theater!
The paintings alluding to Old Masters were clever; more cultural references? Queen Elizabeth I's hunting lodge? Speaking of groups of hunters... While there are people in villages, or the odd forest home, and evil guys in places like Lakos, why not add random travelers or enemy scouts out in the wilderness? Traveling peddlers with whom you can trade, or learn clues, etc.?
Desserts. Let them eat cake! Tapestries on the walls, carpets on floors. Friendly wolfhounds. Boar. Falcon. Doorbells (pulled by rope). Newsstands/town criers (good places for clues/maps/cheats). Pretzel sellers. Hot cross buns? Trebuchet. Dancing. Pottery. Chickens, cows, farms. Waves in ocean. Bakeries. Book lenders. Wand makers.
OK, now I'm just getting silly.
I've totally hijacked this thread with some of the things I've been thinking about for years! Mea culpa.
Thanks for making such an enjoyable classic. Kudos.

I'm a mobile user. I suggest adding a new language. I'dlike you to apply for Korean language support. I can help you with Korean translation.. And I also want 9th Dawn 2 to provide Korean language support.
